Thanks for explaining that better. That makes more sense than what I was trying (unsuccessfully) to say. As I understand it, FedEx Express drivers work for the corporation FedEx. Ground drivers don't work for the corporation FedEx but rather are Independent Contractors. I am a little confused to why the sister companies don't consider 'Ground' to be FedEx? Wouldn't Ground at least be a sister company? Or am I reading your comment wrong?

I'd like to add my 2 cents for the initial posting. I work for FedEx Express. I understand what you're saying about FedEx is not FedEx Express. However, I have been with FedEx Express for over 16 years and the facts are that I have worked for "Federal Express Corporation", and "FedEx" and "FedEx Express", all the same company never changed anything. When you say FedEx you are talking about the parent company. "FedEx Corporation" owns/controls all 'sister' companies. FedEx Express, FedEx LTL, FedEx Custom Critical, FedEx Freight, FedEx Ground, FedEx Home Delivery (a subsidiarity of FedEx Ground), FedEx Logistics. I have been with FedEx since before there was a FedEx and all other sister companies consider FedEx Ground to be 'Ground' not FedEx. Only the media has the wrong information which they continue to publish. Federal Express Corporation was the first and that's who I work for, simply name change (3 times) to FedEx Express.
